((This, is the begining post of our fanfiction story! Remember, this is set in the 1st hunger games. So, without further Delay, I give you, The 1st Hunger Games.))

"District 13 is destroyed. They know they have no choice but to obey. What else would they do? None of the Districts have enough power to even think of attacking us again. We are immortal." Cori smiles at me. It's that awful grin, the one where his crooked teeth seem to gleam, and he bats his eyelashes flirtatiously. He thinks I like it when he talks like that. Like he's President. But I guess he will be someday. His mother is President. His father left them at a young age. Not many people know this about Cori. He's reclusive. He cares so much about who he's related to and his importance in life. It's...well it's kinda creepy.
Coriolanus Snow runs a hand through his dark red hair. Tommorow, it will be purple, the next day, a shade of black darker than pitch. He likes change, much more than I ever will. The Capitol is all for change these days, and to keep these mutinous District's in line, it's a good thing it is. I sigh, and lean back on the couch. He sits down next to me, and pulls me close to him, his lips touching mine.
I do not kiss him back. He doesn't seem to notice.
"My mother wishes to talk to you." he whispers in my ear. I stare at him, his emerald green eyes showing nothing but the truth. Me? The President of Panem wants to speak to me? I blink, and he notices my confusion.
Cori stands up. We are in a bare room. It is small, only holding one black couch. The wall in front of us is nothing but window, staring out at the Capitol. The floor is made of thick, onyx colored carpet. I could fall asleep on it if I wanted to. Cori presses his hand up against the glass of the window. "She wants to offer you a job."
I blink once more. A job? Me? What, is it because I'm dating her son? Not even that is the truth. He believes I am in love with him. It is not so.
"She is waiting for you in the dining room down the hall. I'll wait here."
Of course he will. He will wait paitently by the door until I get back. Cori is like that. Polite, smart, confident, everything a girl could ever want. But he is needy. He is too affectionate. We are both 15, and yet he has spoken to me about marriage twice.
I stand up from the couch. Cori is a head taller than me, and his skin has an almost green sheen to it. I quickly turn away from him. I open the door to the hallway, and slowly make my way to the door on the otherside. I walk past the elevator, wishing that I could make my escape now. But with the Rebellion, President Snow is probably angry as it is. Best not to irritate her.
I knock on the door, and she answers. President Snow is an old woman. She, just like the rest of the Capitol, dresses oddly. She looks like a vampire today, her hair white, her eyes black, and her lips ruby like. She frowns at my appearance. I have ringlet filled blue hair. I was tired of people complaining about my dull mousy color, and changed it to something suitable to my liking. I have not changed it since. My eyes are my natural dark blue, my skin pale, but not white. Not yet. I wear a short blue dress that is too tight and suffocates me. My heels are cutting into my feet. I can almost feel the President's distate.
"Enter." she commands, and I do just that. President Ellis Snow glides to the head of the table. I sit at the other end.
"I suppose you heard," she starts. "That the Capitol has won against the Rebellion."
I nod. Of course I have heard. The Rebellion has been going on for years. The 13 Districts got tired of the Capitol's Rule, and for 11 years, fought against them. Finally, the Capitol used District 13's industry against them. The District was aimed at with Nuclear bombs. Only ashes are left, along with the hazardous waste left over. The fighting ended abrubtly, the District's giving in.
"We have to find a way to punish the 12 remaining Districts."
"Punishment?" I ask softly. I am told my voice is light, like a feather, but quick, like an arrow to the heart.
"We have to remind the Districts that the Capitol is in charge. That Rebellion is pointless. That the damge they have done will not be forgotten. That we in the Capitol are not afraid to kill."
I swallow. "I suppose you have an idea."
President Snow stands. "If I sent you out in the wilderness with 23 other enemies, and only one could live, what would you do?"
"Hide." I reply quietly, unsure of where the conversation was going. "Hide, and wait for the biggest and meanest to kill each other off."
"What if you faced the last person alive? Would you kill them?"
    I do not answer.
"One boy and one girl from each District. They will be young, the ages 12-18. They will be sent into the wilderness to kill each other off. The last one standing gets glory for their district."
My jaw has dropped. The President watches me carefully. "You," I stutter. "You-you want to preform killing games with the District's children? What will that prove?"
"The District's are dying. The war has left them barely alive. They arn't killing games, though. Hunger games, is a more correct term. The last child living, their district gets food."
"Hunger games." I whisper. "And you want me because?"
President Snow smiles, and I know my choice has been made for me. "You are my Gamemaker. You're going to set it up. You will build my wilderness, gather the children. You will run the Games, as that is exactly what they are. The rest of the details will be made out later. Oh, and get some cameramen ready will you? The event needs to be broadcasted.
    "Broadcasted?"
"So the children's parents can watch the ones they love most die. This is their punishment. This is the Hunger Games. Run along, Veritas. You have work to do."
I have been chosen to send children to their death. I have been chosen to set up the world's worst punishment and use it as entertainment, like the Romans did, years before.
    I am a Gamemaker.

So yes, if we have a school hunger games, there will indeed be rules. What fun would there be if I went up to Jessica Everdeen, slit her throat, and said "You're dead! HA!"....

Errr...no.

So, yes, we have rules. Boohoo. Get over yourself (or feel my wrath!!!)

(I am much more eviler ((that's not a word)) online than I am in real life. Hmph.)

***SCHOOL HUNGER GAMES RULES***

On the first day of the Hunger Games, you will start out with 50 life points.

You have the ability to wound, yes, but their are two types of wounds. A mortal wound (stab to the heart, ect.) and a simple wound (arm scratch, cut, ect.). Each participant can wound twice a day, one mortal wound, one simple. They do not have to be on the same person, but they most certainly can be. A mortal wound causes 10 point damage. A simple causes five. Each night, you regain five points of health. (unless I say you have gotten some disease or something and you can't heal. I'm a gamemaker. I can do that.)

Here's an example. I'll be using some of our particpants.

Let's say it's the first day. Jessica Everdeen comes over to me and stabs me in the chest (mortal) and slashes my cheek (simple). Jessica cannot do anything to anyone else the rest of the day. She has used up her wounding skills. I am now down to 35 life points. A day passes, and I regan 5 points, to be at 40 life points. Chandler (last name to be chosen later) attacks me mortaly, and attacks Jessica simpley. Jessica is at 45 points, and I'm at 30. Now lets say Jessica is poisoned. She does NOT regain life points overnight, but I do. I am now at 35, she at 45.

Once you get to zero, you die...

That is until the next hunger games of course :)

Tommorow (or later tonight) I will start on our lovely fanfiction.

And since I don't have BRILLIANT QUOTE LIKE MISS EVERDEEN I found my own!

"I always channel my emotions into my work. That way I don't hurt anyone but myself." -Veris Black

In penance for the District Rebellion, once a year every year, as long as the Capitol shall rule, each of the twelve districts of Panem shall offer up two randomly chosen children between the ages of 12 and 18, one male and one female. These children must participate in the annual Hunger Games competition.

The Hunger Games pits children from the districts against each other in a fight to the death. The last child standing wins their district glory and is showered with presents. The Capitol is not liable for any loss of...well...anything (including life). Participation in the Hunger Games is required by all tributes. Offering up of tributes is required by all districts. Other children may volunteer in the place of a tribute of the same gender of the same district.

The Hunger Games take place in an isolated arena designed and controled by Capitol Gamemakers who have the authority to create disasters within the Arena and eliminate tributes just because we feel like it. (Or I feel like it, since I be the gamemaker.)

The Reaping will take place on the fourth of Feburary, 2011. That is a week from tommorow. But first, you need to know a little bit about where your from (and why the heck you're doing this and what's it about.)

***Districts***

District 1-District 1 is one of the thirteen districts of Panem. Its industry is making luxury items for the Capitol. Due to the nature of its industry, it's considered the wealthiest district, the only other wealthier area being the Capitol itself. It is considered a career district

District 2-District 2's seal depicts a block of stone and carving tools. The district's public presentation is that of stone quarries, but it also manufactures weaponry, trains, and supplies Peacekeepers. The main military in the district is known as the Nut. This district is sometimes called "the pets" of the Capitol. They are the biggest supporters of the Capitol therefore babied and given many extra conveniences.

District 3-District 3's primary industry is general electronics of many types, though it is known for also making various mechanical products such as automobiles and firearms. Thus, many of its residents are technically apt.

District 4-District 4's industry is fishing, thus most residents have experience using nets and tridents, making fishhooks from scratch, swimming, and identifying edible sea life. It is considered a Career district.

District 5- District 5's industry is genetic research, thus a district full of scientists and researchers. They are often known for producing the mutations and otherworldly creatures in the hunger games.

District 6-District 6's industry is Trade. They are a very odd bunch, and are known to trade almost anything. Many are addicts of medicine from district five (an example being the painkiller morphling) This...is the wacko district.

District 7-District 7's industry is lumber and many of its residents to have experience with hatchets, axes, saws, and other tree cutting tools.

District 8-District 8's principal industry is the production of textiles, and they have at least one factory that is primarily used for making Peacekeeper uniforms.

District 9-District 9's industry is food processing. Enough said.

District 10-Livestock is District 10's industry. (Good thing they live close to District 9!)

District 11-District 11's industry is agriculture--orchards and fields of grain and cotton surround the district. Almost everything grown is shipped directly to the Capitol. It is one of the poorest districts in Panem, second only to District 12. It is also one of the districts where the Peacekeepers are the strictest. Ironically, this directly results in its residents generally being malnourished and underfed despite its focus on agriculture.

District 12-District 12 is located somewhere in the Appalachian mountains. Its chief industry is coal mining. The district has the distinction of being one of the poorest districts, if not the outright poorest, in all of Panem.

District 13-Its industry was nuclear weapons. Hint on the WAS.

Okay so pretty much what were doing is recreating the Hunger Games. Not the whole book. But the actual
Hunger Games. So it is undecided how many people will be in this. But it should start soon. We will be posting a list of everyone who is play -fake names of course- and all of the rules. You can comment and sponser someone if you wish. We want to include you in this too. The person who will be writing this is Veris Black. She is a very good friend of mine and an amazing writer. She will take what we've done at school and turn it into a story. We will have rules like "You can only injure the same person once per day." "You have to Injure someone two days in a row to kill them"
"Sponsors -YOUGUYS!- can send us things to help us survive." It should be alot of fun. I will have more information up about it soon & and then i'll turn it all over to Veris Black !

May the Odds be ever in your favor - Jessica Everdeen.
